Washington, D.C.

The National Service Express rolls into our Nation’s Capitol for the launch of ServeNext.org’s Washington, D.C. Chapter.
What: ServeNext Washington D.C. Organizing Meeting!
When: Thursday, April 29th
Where: TBA!
Join traveling service warriors Sean Edwin (IL AmeriCorps ‘06, ‘07) and Matt
Wilhelm (NH AmeriCorps ‘06, ‘07) when ServeNext rolls into D.C. on the
coast-to-coast National Service Express Tour! This is your opportunity to
unite with other like-minded individuals and learn what YOU can do to make National Service a national priority in 2008.
ServeNext’s entire purpose is to advocate for National Service and its network of organizations. The work involves a variety of actions and initiatives. However, it all returns to expanding National Service opportunities and making it a national priority. The future of National Service depends upon a grassroots movement that demands opportunities for all Americans to serve our country. ServeNext is uniting ordinary citizens who believe in this vision and are willing to be a voice.
This spring, 30 local ServeNext Chapters of grassroots citizen-advocates are
launching across the country – all in just 60 days! Join AmeriCorps Alumni,
Peace Corps Alumni, and other National Service supporters to hear what you can do locally in the weeks and months to come as we build energy and the political will for a universal and voluntary Service Nation.
If you are interested in attending or helping to spread the word about the D.C. Chapter Launch, please email Sean at sean@servenext.org.
Look foward to hearing from you!
